Welcome to the Jones Family Pages website

John and Donna Jones

After a long hiatus I decided to rebuild our Family website and consolidate several site I've had in the past. I had started this site back on my own home hosted server, but decided to use SimplyHosting, which I highly recommend, as my hosting provider. I have a pretty decent dsl connection at home (when it's working), but I get rather lazy when it comes to backups and such. Plus it's a lot more reliable than this dsl connection. The site is pretty much a work in progress, but the main template is done, so now it's just adding the content, which I have tons of.

Most of the Jones and Zikorus lines of Genealogy (John's side) are done (well, as done as I can get them at this time), with the exception of Rose Smith's family. I have a lot of that to add and I'd like to thank Linda Hickey up in Massachusetts, and a distant cousin, for compiling the information on the Smith side. Of course her original name wasn't Smith since she came from Lithuania, but that's how they did it in customs when you came to the US with a name they couldn't pronounce... Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, comments, family info, photos, documents, or stories, please Contact Us. Also if you are a family member or believe you're a long lost cousin or doing some genealogy research yourself or need information on setting up TNG and e107, please Register with us. we'll be glad to have you join our site.

Please refer to the Site Disclaimer for our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Membership information.

Please be advised that this site is best viewed at 1280x1024 resolution. In this day and time of flat panel wide-screen monitors and higher resolutions, it was not feasible to develop this site at anything less. The site is bearable to view at 1024x768 and 800x600, but for the best viewing experience we recommend 1280x1024 on a standard 17" monitor. Your wide-screen monitor resolution may vary and probably doesn't need adjusting. We apologize for any inconvenience in this area.

While you are checking out the site, please take a moment and Sign Our Guestbook. Thanks for stopping by!

Post Your Stories and Pictures

If you guys have any stories and /pictures to post, here is the place to do it. I'd love to get some more content on the site.

One of my earliest memories is staying at my grandparents house in Mass. I guess I was probably 2 or 3 at the time, but I remember trying to shave with my grandfathers razor and cut my chin (still got the scar) ran and fell down the stairs. They (my mom and brother) said I got lost in the snow one day and they found me across the street at this pond where people cut holes in the ice to fish. I kind of remember that pond a little.

My mother is in a nursing home now, but I still get her to give up some info about her growing up in lower Newton Falls, Mass. She'll talk about her father giving them a ride in their car or taking them (my mom and Aunt Francis) to get an ice cream, or taking them all to the beach.

So if you have any stories you would like to share with us, you can post a news article yourself (just pick Submit News from the menu) and I'll add it into the website. And don't forget the pictures if you got any you would like to share.
